Behind the beach, the Prat de Son Bou nature reserve includes dunes, marshes and numerous species of birds. The early Christian ruins of the Son Bou Basilica are very close. To the east, inland, is the Torre d’en Galmés, an ancient settlement known for its stone towers, or talayots.
