The Ecotasa or Sustainable Tourism Tax, is a tax approved by the Balearic Government since July 2016. Its objective is to make investments linked to the preservation of the environment and sustainable tourism.<\/p>\r\n

Its promoters defend that it was created to mitigate the consequences that tourism causes in our territory. The operation of the Ecotasa is similar to VAT.
